ESL Katowice Royale $600,000 Fortnite tournament

We did not have time to forget about the Secret Fortnite tournament, as the new ESL Katowice Royale tournament with a prize pool of $ 600,000 is about to begin. This is the first appearance of the Fortnite at the large annual IEM ESL event in Katowice.

The event is divided into 3 stages:

• In the first stage, only Polish players take part and they will compete for a prize pool of $ 100,000.
• The second stage involves the best solo players from around the world. They will also share the prize at $ 100,000.
• In the third stage, players will meet in pairs, and their prize fund is $ 400,000

When will ESL Katowice pass through Fortnite?

The first stage will take place on February 23-24 and only players from Poland will take part in it. The first day will be a solo tournament, and the second doubles.

The second stage starts on March 1 at 14:00 Moscow time. The best players of the world will take part in this stage and they will compete for $ 100k.

The third stage will be held on March 2-3, and it will be attended by couples from around the world. Within 2 days, they will fight for a $ 400k prize pool.

Format of the tournament

The international solo tournament will be played for 7 games, and the doubles tournament for 14 games. During the games, participants will score points according to a certain system prescribed in the rules. You can see the conditions for receiving points for each of the tournaments in the table:

The solo tournament will reward the top 20 players in cash, and the first place will go with $ 20,000. The prize fund of a solo tournament is distributed as follows:

• 5-6: 6000 dollars
• 7-10: 4,000 dollars
