New Impostors mode in Fortnite based on Among Us
With update 17.40, the new Impostors game mode appeared in Fortnite. Here’s the description of the mode: “The Bridge is under attack! Agents of The Order are tasked with keeping The Bridge safe by completing their Assignments or Identifying the Impostors. Be careful of Impostors! They have disguised themselves to take down The Order from the Inside”. It’s clear that Fortnite Impostors game mode is based on the famous game Among Us.

There are two warring parties in this mode: Agents and Impostors. The first one completes Assignments like calibrating chests and llamas, simultaneously searching for Impostors, and the second eliminates Agents. Agents must eliminate Impostors, and Impostors must eliminate Agents. The elimination of Impostors occurs through voting, like in Among Us.
Impostors can perform these actions:
- Disable Assignments – Temporarily freeze progress on all Assignments, buying you some precious time.
- Teleport Players – Relocate all Agents and Impostors to somewhere else on The Bridge, covering your tracks.
- Peely Party – For a short time, all Agents and Impostors look like Peely, so you can blend in with the crowd!
There is a quick chat in this game mode. And there will be something to confer about — mode has its own map and the storyline is progressing.
