IO Guards appeared on the Fortnite island

Remember the IO Guards from the past seasons? In Chapter 2 Season 8, they wanted to use some kind of dangerous machine on Agent Jones, and it seems like they still have the same plan. This is probably the only reason why the IO guards and Slone are coming to the Fortnite map in Chapter 3.

Today, on January 4, the first IO base appeared on the island. They drilled the island with a huge drill, left it and made a camp. There’s also a launch pad and an IO chest nearby.

Fortunately (or not), the old guns didn’t come back with the IO. Their comeback is just an event used to develop the story make the game more fun by adding another type of enemies to the game.

The first base is located east from Logjam Lumberyard:

Besides this base, there should be 4 more. One of them should be similar to The Grotto, but we don’t know which things they will have in common.

The next drills should appear next week, when the snow thaws.

Chapter 3 of Fortnite has just started, and we already had a rocket launch, and now IO Guards are back! We can only imagine what will happen in the future.
