The first rocket in Fortnite has been launched into space

The story in Chapter 3 Season 1 is going much faster than in the previous seasons. During week 3 of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 7, we’ve only seen the UFOs, and this season there’s already a rocket being launched into space. Imagine what will happen at the end of the season!

At the start of Chapter 3 Season 1, a pad of some kind north from The Foundation’s statue caught the players’ attention. There were a few circle pads, and they are actually capsules with rockets inside.

A couple of days ago, on December 24, the first hatch opened. Then, a rocket appeared above it, but it was standing there for a short period of time. Today, on December 26, it has already been launched in space.

During one of the challenges, The Scientist said something about this:

… old wartime essentials we left floating in the endless void of space

If you think about this quite, you might realize that The Seven might need something to fight the incoming threats (IO drills are going to appear on the island soon).

The rest of the rockets should be launched after future Fortnite updates.

Unfortunately, you can’t see the launch itself. The rocket just disappears after it happens.
